Spain: Sanchez to form Socialist-led 'progressive government'

Spanish Prime Minister and Secretary-general of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) Pedro Sanchez addressed his supporters in Madrid on Sunday, after his party won the general elections. Sanchez greeted the cheering voters from the stage set outside the PSOE headquarters in Ferraz street. Addressing the crowds, Sanchez said he will work on a «progressive government led by the Socialist... Еще Party», collaborating with «all the political parties except for those that exclude themselves from coexistence and sow hate and anti-democracy speeches.» According to preliminary results, Sanchez's PSOE won the general elections, getting 120 seats in the 350-seat Congress of Deputies, but fell short of getting the majority, with the conservative People's Party securing 88 mandates and the far-right Vox getting the third place with 52 seats.
