Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez highlighted the role of G20 leaders in tackling the coronavirus pandemic and its consequences, during his recorded speech, in Madrid on Saturday.
«We G20 leaders have an obligation to do everything in our hands to minimise the damage and the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic. The world faces its greatest challenge in decades and the biggest economies of the planet should live up to the challenge,» he stated.
Saudi Arabia is hosting the G20 which will run through Sunday. The summit is held virtually with most of the head of states unable to attend due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
