Catalan President Carles Puigdemont and Vice President Oriol Junqueras were seen leaving the Palau de la Generalitat in Barcelona after a day of meetings with advisors, Friday. The meetings come amid a request from Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy for clarification on the Catalan declaration of independence. Еще of the ANC (National Catalan Assembly) and advisers of the government Meritxell Borràs, Interior Minister Joaquim Forn, Health Minister Antoni Comín and Culture Minister Lluis Puig were reportedly also seen. Puigdemont has been given until Monday to respond to Rajoy's request to clarify if he did or did not declared independence last Monday and the closed meetings were reportedly held in preparation for his answer. Puigdemont asked for dialogue with the Spanish government, a request which was rejected by Rajoy. The Spanish government has threatened to invoke Article 155 of the Constitution, which would suspend Catalonia's autonomy.
