Police clashed with protesters during a rally against the imprisonment of Catalan leaders and former president Carles Puigdemont in Barcelona on Tuesday. Demonstrators chanted slogans demanding the release of the imprisoned Catalan leaders and against police who tried to clear the street. The protest started earlier in the day at Sants Estancio railway station where hundreds of demonstrators... Еще attempted to disrupt train services. Reportedly, at least two people were arrested and several were injured. The rally was organised by the Republican Defence Committees (CDR), which is behind numerous public actions across the entire region. Puigdemont was arrested by German police en route to Belgium on Sunday where he had been living in self-imposed exile. He was detained pending extradition to Spain where he is wanted for sedition, rebellion and misuse of public funds.
