Activists from People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) and Spanish animal rights organisation AnimaNaturalis gathered on Friday to protest against the running of the bulls at the San Fermin festival in Pamplona.
Fifty-four people dressed only in their underwear and holding signs laid on the floor inside painted chalk outlines representing dead bulls to call attention to the cause... Еще.
«Many people do not know — the people who come from outside the country — but those bulls that run in the confinements are those that are sacrificed in the Plaza de Toros. It is important that people know it,» said PETA spokesperson Jana Uriz.
The San Fermin festival is held annually in Pamplona from July 6 to 14. Every morning for seven days six bulls chase runners along a route through the old town and toward the city's bullring.
