Spain: No democracy will accept Catalan independence referendum — PM Rajoy

Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy said «there will be no [Catalan] referendum» as «no democracy in the world can accept the liquidation of the Constitution,» at a meeting of the People's Party (PP) in Palma, Majorca, Saturday. In an address to provincial presidents of the PP Rajoy stated, «if some people are radicalised to the limit, they cannot impose their will on the rest by deliberately... Еще breaking all the laws.” Catalan citizens will vote in an upcoming historic independence referendum on October 1, in a ballot that has been deemed illegal and unconstitutional by the Spanish Supreme Court.
