Spain: King and Queen of Spain visit young Barcelona attack victims in hospital

Spanish King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia Ortiz Rocasolano visited children injured in Thursday's attack being treated in Mar de Barcelona Hospital, on Saturday. A van drove into pedestrians, on Thursday afternoon, along Las Ramblas outside the Placa de Catalunya metro station in Barcelona, leaving 13 dead and injuring scores more. The attack was followed by a similar incident in nearby... Еще Cambrils, when five suspected attackers were killed by police gunmen in the coastal town early on Friday morning after reportedly driving an Audi A3 into a group of pedestrians, only hours after a similar attack rocked Barcelona. The suspected assailants are alleged to have been wearing explosive belts. Seven people were injured in the Cambrils ramming. The attacks have been claimed by the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS, ISIL). Police are now linking the two incidents with an explosion that took place early on Thursday morning in the town of Alcanar Platja. It was initially believed to be a gas cylinder explosion, but is now reportedly connected to the assemblage of a bomb by the group that carried out Thursday's and Friday's attacks.
