Madrid's health care workers protested on Monday to demand improvements in working conditions from the Ministry of Health on the third day of a weekly strike.
Health workers were seen outside the Gregorio Maranon General University Hospital, before marching to Puerta del Sol. There, they covered the floor with sheets to protest the lack of beds to rest properly.
Among their demands are a wage increase, a reduction in the hours worked during guards and better protection from the COVID-19.
The strike began after the Ministry of Health refused to negotiate the proposed agreement submitted by the MIR Works Council on 22 May.
