A doll manufacturer in Alicante has created a doll collection named 'Warriors against COVID-19' to help make children aware of the coronavirus.
Examples of the PPE wearing dolls could be seen in the Brillindolls shop in Castalla, Alicante, on Tuesday, where the dolls are made and packed.
The profits from the sale of the dolls will go to support projects of the Doctors of the World humanitarian... Еще organisation.
Jose Antonio Castro, manager of Brillindolls, explained that the dolls are a form of «recognition» of the «work of the health workers, and of these nurses who have risked so much and are risking their lives every day.”
He added that making dolls is the best way they can help, «and raise solidarity funds for any NGO that might need them. In this case, we decided to turn to Doctors of the World.»
Doctors of the World is an association that works in 20 countries, including Spain, and provides healthcare to people in need.
According to data from the Ministry of Health, 232,037 cases of COVID-19 and 27,778 deaths have been recorded in Spain to date.
