Footage filmed on Sunday shows the local residents of Vigo exercising their right to vote in the regional elections, complying with the health and safety regulations in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Voters waited for their turn outside the polling stations and disinfected their hands before entering the precincts, wearing their mask at all times.
“Well, I think it went well, distances are kept perfectly, there is a disinfectant gel at the entrance and at the exit. There are people who tell you where you have to go so that people do not end up standing together. I think it is perfect,» said a voter Guadalupe Vera.
The regions of Galicia and Basque Country are called to the polls among strict security measures as the local elections are held on Sunday, after elections were postponed due to the health crisis created by coronavirus pandemic.
