Spain: Former Catalan CUP parliamentary president arrives at court

Mireia Boya, Former President of Popular Unity Candidacy (CUP) parliamentary group arrived at Spanish Supreme Court in Madrid on Wednesday to testify on rebellion, sedition and embezzlement during the Catalan referendum last year. Boya could be seen entering the court building, flashing a power sign with her fist up in the air. Natalia Sanchez, deputy of CUP said that «Spanish state also acts... Еще as an anti-democratic, repressive state, which aims to frighten and demobilize an entire movement». She also added that pro-Catalan independence supporters will «continue the struggle towards the construction of the [Catalan] Republic.»
