The Spanish National Police and the Municipal Police of Madrid dismantled an illegal party involving nearly a hundred people and seized significant amounts of cocaine, hashish and cannabis in Madrid, on Monday.
The Municipal Police reported that there were about 95 people dancing without wearing masks or maintaining safet distances, and that the operation resulted in five arrests, four for crimes against public health and the other for having false documents.
Footage distributed by the police show the moment of the raid on the Sildavia club. The men and women, who were separated into two rows, can be seen while the police search the place. Officers can also be seen taking one of the detainees.
According to reports, the agents went to the place around 08:00 (06:00 GMT), because the place was operating without a permit.
Nightlife is one of the main causes of coronavirus outbreaks in Spain, where cases continue to rise. The Catalan government announced the closure of all nightclubs on Friday, July 24, in an attempt to control the outbreak in the community.
