Spain: Far-right activists celebrate anniversary, applaud Madrid

A hundred far-right political activists celebrated the anniversary of Falange Espanola party in the centre of Madrid on Sunday, demanding the unity of Spain in wake of Catalan independence announcement. Commenting on the Catalan independence announcement, Manuel Andrino, the National Chief of the La Falange party said this is «a coup d’etat against the legality». The original Falange Espanola (FE) was created on 29th of October 1933 by Jose Antonio Primo de Rivera, Julio Ruiz de Alda and Alfonso Garcia Valdecasas. It was dissolved a year later and transformed into a number of far-right parties with similar political views.
