Dozens of demonstrators took to the streets of Madrid on Sunday to protest against the Spanish monarchy and demand the establishment of a republic.
Footage shows the protesters carrying flags of the Second Spanish Republic while chanting against the royal family.
The rally came as former king Juan Carlos announced he was leaving the country in a letter to his son and current king, Felipe VI.
The former monarch has been under investigation by Spain's Supreme Court since June for his alleged involvement in a high-speed rail contract in Saudi Arabia. In his letter, he said he would be available if prosecutors needed to interview him.
