Spain: Catalan leaders leave the Generalitat after cabinet meeting with pro-independence coalition

Catalan officials were seen leaving the Palau de la Generalitat, Barcelona, early on Thursday morning following a meeting between cabinet members of the Catalan government and other pro-independence political leaders. In attendance at the meeting alongside government officials were leaders of the PDECat and Esquerra movements and deputies of the Junts pel Yes. Those seen leaving included... Еще deputies of the Parliament of Catalonia Marta Pascal and David Bonvehi and PDECat political activist Santi Vila. The meeting began at 21:00pm Wednesday evening and ended at just after 2:00am on Thursday morning, and was called to devise a strategy ahead of a key gathering of the Spanish Senate, during which the triggering of Article 155 of the Spanish Constitution is to be discussed.
