Spain: Activists protest Spanish actor's arrest for BLASPHEMY in Madrid

A vigil was held for Spanish actor Willy Toledo in the Teatro del Barrio in downtown Madrid on Wednesday, after he was arrested for religious blasphemy charges earlier in the day. Around 150 people attended the vigil for the actor, who was arrested after failing to show up in court twice to answer questions over offending religious sentiments. Present activists and artists reacted to the actor... Еще's arrest with Antonia Avalos, Member of Feminists of the Un-submissive Pussy organisation saying, «How is it possible that this Christian lawyers organisation is not hurt by hunger, assassinated women, the kids raped by the hierarchy of the [Catholic] Church or by the paedophile priests and their feelings are hurt by Willy's words.» According to Willy Toledo's lawyer Endika Zulueta, he tried to have an interview with his defendant, who is in the National Police Station of the Moratalaz district prison, but the interview was denied by the police officers. Toledo had published a post on Facebook in 2017, admonishing the Spanish court for charges laid against three women in Seville who, in 2014, had paraded a large model of a vagina through the city streets in an imitation of a religious procession, dubbing it the 'Insubordinate pussy.' «I shit on God and have enough shit left over to shit on the dogma of the saintliness and virginity of the Virgin Mary. This country is unbearably shameful. I'm disgusted. Go fuck yourselves. Long live the Insubordinate Pussy,» read Toledo's Facebook post.
