Spain: 34,500 residents trapped in homes as toxic cloud spreads through southern Madrid

Over 34,500 inhabitants of three towns in southern Madrid were asked by emergency services to remain in their homes as fire broke out in the neighbourhood of Fuenlabrada producing a toxic cloud, Sunday. 40 tons of magnesium and aluminum chips began to burn in a nearby scrap warehouse, resulting in the toxic smoke that is spreading around the district.
