South Ossetia: Archive footage of 2008 Russo-Georgian war

Footage from August 2008 shows the aftermath of the Russo-Georgian conflict in South Ossetia. The conflict erupted on the night of August 7-8, 2008, as Georgia launched an intensive air campaign against the South Ossetian capital of Tskhinvali. The attack left casualties among Russian peacekeepers and Ossetian militia defending the territory captured by Georgian forces. In response, Russia...
