South Korea: US hockey team ‘hungry’ despite NHL absences

The US Olympic ice hockey team said Monday in PyeongChang they are “hungry” to compete despite the absence of players from National Hockey League (NHL) in the Olympic team. The comments followed the decision of the NHL earlier this year not to give a break to its players to participate in Olympics, meaning some strong players won't be competing in these Games. «All I know is that we have... Еще picked as a stuff of 25 players that we believe in that we're confident in, that are coming here to play well and make American people proud of what they see,» added Tony Granato, Head coach of US Olympic ice hockey team. Brian Gionta, Captain of the US Olympic ice hockey team made his comments saying, «I love our team, I love our hunger, I won't say we are [going to] play with a chip on our shoulder, but we expect, like coach said, to come in here and compete for a medal, and I think that is our expectation going in, and that is what we striving for.»
