South Korea: US athletes ‘disappointed’ over CAS lifting Russia ban

American biathlete Lowell Bailey said that 'no bias' was involved in IOC investigation in Russian athletes, at a press conference in Pyeongchang on Wednesday ahead of the 2018 Winter Olympics. «I think the IOC (International Olympic Committee) was right to take a look at the participation for Russian athletes in Pyeongchang,» Bailey said and added that «the fact that they didn't know the names... Еще that they were selecting so that there could be no bias involved, I think that was important.» Susan Dunklee, another US biathlete competing in Pyeongchang, noted that she has «been more and more uncertain about whether the people around [her] in a race are cheat-clean, whether they are cheating or not, and that's a frustrating position to be as an athlete.» She expressed her disappointment over the decision made by CAS to lift the life-ban on Russian athletes saying «the whole Sochi games were compromised in a way by the doping stuff and to see those decisions getting overturned was very frustrating.»
