South Korea: The 'Sports House' opens to Russian fans for Winter Olympics 2018

The Sports House, a home from home for thousands of Russian supporters, opened to great fanfare in Gangneung, as the 2018 Winter Olympic Games officially kicked off on Friday. Russian folk dancers acted as cheerleaders for a fan base, who have made the journey to South Korea to watch sportsmen and women compete under the neutral banner of 'Olympic Athletes from Russia.' Inside the Sports... Еще House, travelling supporters can purchase merchandise emblazoned with the national colours, look at memorabilia from past Olympic triumphs and enjoy the world-renowned Russian hospitality alongside. Apart from broadcasting all the events live, fans will also be able to mingle with Olympic veterans and visiting dignitaries. PyeongChang is hosting the 23rd Winter Olympic Games from February 9 to February 25. Around 3,000 athletes from 93 countries will compete in 15 different disciplines.
