Seoul stands ready to ward off North Korea's «military threats», stated South Korean Defence Minister Jeong Kyeong-doo at a national defence forum in the South Korean capital on Wednesday.
Jeong's comment comes following reports that Pyongyang had fired two short-range ballistic missiles off its east coast earlier in the day.
According to Jeong, «North Korea launched two missiles early this... Еще morning.» He noted that South Korean «military's surveillance system has detected all of them, and [we] are are taking countermeasures.»
The South Korean defence chief stressed, «The important thing is to prepare thoroughly against the military threats of North Korea, and furthermore, to have the ability to cope with a full range of enemy threats in the future.»
