South Korea: 1,200 staff replaced after virus outbreak ahead of Olympics

International Olympic Committee Sports Director and Deputy Olympic Games Executive Director Christophe Dubi explained measures taken by the IOC to prevent a further norovirus outbreak before the upcoming Winter Olympic Games, while speaking at the Main Press Centre in Pyeongchang on Tuesday. Dubi confirmed that a number of hand sanitisers would readily available and added that the army staff... Еще «will be extremely diligent to sanitise anything that was in contact with that person, so they are doing the ultimate possible effort to make sure that everybody is aware and when there are cases, that the right measures are taken.» Around 1,200 members of the security personnel were contained and replaced after about 40 were laid low by the winter vomiting bug. A cold snap is also expected to coincide with the Games, heightening the risk of contracting the illness.
