South Africa: Sea foam and heavy winds create 'snowy' scene in Cape Town

Heavy winds combined with sea foam to create a snow-like scene in Cape Town on Monday, after heavy rains left parts of the city flooded. People enjoyed playing with the sea spray as it was blown by gusts of wind from the crashing waves on the Beach Road promenade. Trees along the coastline could be seen bent by the ferocious winds while the road was covered in a layer of white foam. The South African Weather Service warned on Friday that the cold conditions moving across the Cape on Monday would spread countrywide later this week, bringing strong winds and heavy rain.
