Somalia: Mourners pray for hundreds killed in deadly Mogadishu terror attack

Thousands of Somalis gathered for a prayer service on Friday in the capital Mogadishu, at the site of the country's deadliest truck bombing which happened on October 14, claiming the live of at least 358 people. Hundreds were killed and injured after a truck exploded in the crowded Hodan district of Mogadishu near the fuel tanker which caused the destruction of nearby buildings. No... Еще organization has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, though all eyes are on Al-Shabaab, which has been affiliated to al-Qaida since 2011. Al-Shabaab militants were ousted from Mogadishu in 2011 and have been losing territory ever since, but their capacity to launch large bomb attacks has continued. Saturday's attack was the deadliest since the al-Shabaab insurgency began in 2007.
