Two German men, Christian Masurenko and Denis Heitman, claim to have broken the Guinness World Record for the longest tennis match ever played, in Altenmarhorst on Sunday. The match, which lasted 79 hours 52 minutes and 46 seconds, surpassed this previous world record of 64 hours. The competitors will now submit their evidence to the Guinness World Records authority. The four-day event was intended as a way to raise money for charity, as well as break the world record, and many people from around the area came to show their support.
