Slovakia: Russia beats Austria 5-0 at IIHF World Championship

The Russian national ice hockey team shut out Austria 5-0 on Sunday in Bratislava, in its second match of the 2019 IIHF World Championship. Forward Evgeni Dadonov scored two goals for the second consecutive game, while Tampa Bay Lightning's superstar Nikita Kucherov had a goal and an assist. However, Bader underlined that his team «played very good ice hockey» for their level. The 2019 IIHF World Championship kicked off in the two Slovakian cities of Bratislava and Kosice last Friday. After two wins in Group B over Norway and Austria, Russia will be now playing against Czech Republic on May 13. Austria will take on their Alpine neighbours Switzerland on May 14.
