Slovakia: Finns squeeze past holders Sweden in overtime at IIHF 2019

Finland beat holders Sweden 5-4 in overtime in Kosice on Thursday night. Players and staff spoke to the media in the mixed zone after the game. The Swedes had stormed into a 3-1 lead after falling behind early. They then conceded twice in quick succession, but still managed to edge back in front thanks to a piece of fortune. After initially allowing play to continue, the officials then checked... Еще video replays which showed the puck smashing the mini-camera and rebounding out of the goal. Yet it was the Finns had the last laugh. Captain fantastic Marko Antilla scored an equaliser with just one-and-a-half minutes to go, with Sakari Manninen netting the winner in overtime. Finland now face stiff opposition in the form of Russia, who extended their unbeaten run in the tournament by beating the USA.
