Rakija enthusiasts from all across Europe participated in the 15th annual Rakijada drinking competition, held in the village of Pranjani on Sunday, trying out different types of the alcoholic beverage and watching various competitions take place. The winners were awarded with a small barrel of the potent spirit. Rakija is a brandy made of plumbs, pears, apples, grapes and other fruits that grow in the Balkans region. It is considered to be Serbia's national drink.
