Around 200 protesters marched towards the Macedonian embassy in Pristina, Friday, after the Skopje Criminal court handed life sentences to seven ethnic Albanians accused of involvement in a shootout with police in Kumanovo in May 2015. Police surrounded the embassy preventing the protesters from entering. The protesters rallied in front of the embassy waving Albanian flags and chanting «KLA... Еще [Kosovo Liberation Army].» Protesters maintain that the attack was set-up by the Macedonian authorities. Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has called for an international investigation. 18 people were killed, including eight police officers in the shootout between security forces and an armed group on the 9 and 10 May 2015 in the Macedonian town of Kumanovo. The court has convicted a total of 33 men in relation to the incident.
