Activists staged the first ever LGBT pride parade in Pristina, Tuesday, with hundreds of participants marching through the city streets with posters and rainbow flags. Kosovo President Hashim Thaci alongside other officials arrived at the start of the parade to demonstrate support for Kosovo's LGBT community. «This is the only time in the year that we, as gay people, can walk Pristina's streets... Еще without fear,» said demonstrator Stefan Sparavalo. «Without fear that someone will attack us,» he added. The Pride parade, dubbed «In the name of love,» was organised by non-governmental organisations. The parade reportedly passed peacefully.
