Scotland: Alpaca Championships takes place in Lanark

The 2017 Scottish Alpaca Championship was held in Lanark on Saturday, drawing dozens of breeders from across the country with over 140 alpacas. The animals competed in several categories, based on colour, sex and age, where they had judges evaluating them thoroughly for 15 to 30 minutes each. «This is the first kind of attempt at having a national show in Scotland. So we've been running it for... Еще three years,» said Stuart Ramsay, organiser of competition. «The first year we had about 100 alpacas. The second year about 120. So it's growing year on year. So it's getting busier and busier,» he added.
