Russia: Zakharova calls Bellingcat 'pseudo mass media' and 'tool' for foreign governments

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova labelled UK-based investigative group Bellingcat as «pseudo mass media», briefing reporters in Crimea's Koktebel on Wednesday. Zakharova said the publication, which claims to have identified the true identities of the men who were allegedly involved in poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Julia, is merely a tool for... Еще foreign governments to promote their own views. She also urged the Ukrainian authorities to release the editor-in-chief of RIA Novosti Ukraine, Kirill Vyshinsky, who is being held in custody on suspicion of treason. Going on to discuss the Idlid demilitarisation zone, the spokesperson said heavy weapons have been successfully withdrawn from the area, adding that Russian experts are «double-checking the data.»
