Leader of the liberal Yabloko party Grigory Yavlinsky announced his candidacy for the 2018 Russian presidential election, at his party’s congress in Moscow on Friday. Yavlinsky presented his programme, declaring that if elected, one of the first things he is going to do is «to provide liberty and independence to mass media.» «Secondly, a legislative package is needed, and I talked about it... Еще today, to bring the whole legal system in accordance with the Russian Constitution,» the candidate stated. This is the fourth time Yavlinsky is taking part in the presidential elections.
