Russia: Winter Olympic team unveil «neutral» uniform

Russian Winter Olympic athletes’ new 'neutral' uniform for the upcoming PyeonChang Winter Games was presented to the press in Moscow, Tuesday. Designed by Russian outfit company ZASPORT, the colour scheme of the neutral outfit consists of grey, red and white, bearing no national symbols apart from a logo reading “Olympic Athlete of Russia,» which has been printed on parkas, jackets, warm-up... Еще suits, sweatshirts and t-shirts. The athletes will receive two sets of equipment: a neutral uniform with the Olympic logo and a second uniform with the Russian national symbols in case the Russian athletes will be permitted to wear it at the final ceremony of the Games. Russian curler Anastasia Bryzgalova said she would prefer to wear the uniform with the national symbols, but that “overall, both of the uniforms are very comfortable.» The 23rd Olympic Winter Games will take place in South Korea’s PyeongChang from February 9-25.
