Russia: «We have nothing to do with presidential elections in Mexico» — Lavrov

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that «neither RT nor any other Russian media outlet or any other institutions from our country interfere in the internal affairs of other states,» during a press conference after his talks with Mexican counterpart Luis Videgaray Caso, in Moscow, on Friday. Lavrov went on to say that Russia has «nothing to do with how the presidential elections in... Еще Mexico will be organised.» The Russian diplomat expressed his gratitude to his «Mexican friends» for the support of «a number of initiatives» on «international information security, confidence-building measures in space and preventing the glorification of Nazism.» Mexican Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray Caso, in turn, expressed «deep appreciation on behalf of the people and government of Mexico» for Russian support in the wake of deadly earthquakes which struck the country. The September earthquakes killed 228 people in Mexico City alone, while more than 60 buildings in the capital collapsed.
