Russia: Victory Day parade kicks off on Moscow's Red Square

. The Moscow Victory Day Parade kicked off at the Red Square on Wednesday, marking the 73rd anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe. More than 13,000 servicemen, 159 pieces of military equipment and 75 aircraft are taking part in the Victory Day military parade. This year the parade introduces some of Russia's newest military equipment, including the Uranus 6 and Uranus 9... Several international leaders have confirmed they will attend the Moscow parade, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Moldovan President Igor Dodon and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. A number of commemorative events celebrating the 73rd anniversary of the official capitulation of Nazi Germany at the end of World War II will take place in 28 Russian cities.
