Russia: Turkish FM discusses S-400 supplies and visa-free travel with Lavrov

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu discussed the delivery of the Russian S-400 missile systems and visa-free travel between Russia and Turkey, during his meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on Wednesday. «We have made the first step towards the upcoming S-400 missile systems delivery,” Cavusoglu said during a joint press conference, adding “We are highly... Еще interested in them being supplied as soon as possible.» Cavusoglu also discussed the «visa problem» with Lavrov as it «creates problems for our economic and cultural partnership.» The Turkish minister said «we are interested in an update to make Russian citizens able to visit our country with no need of an international passport,» adding that he was «counting on Russia to keep working on it to make our citizens able to visit your country as well without any delay.» On December 2017, Turkey signed an agreement with Russia to purchase the S-400 Triumf missile systems. The contract was discussed globally as Turkey is the first NATO member country to receive the Russian S-400. According to the Aide to the President of Russia Vladimir Kozhin, Russia is going to start supplies in 2020.
