The Tretyakov gallery held a briefing on the attack on Ilya Repin's famous painting 'Ivan the Terrible and His Son' in Moscow on Monday, in light of the vandalism incident that took place on Friday. The painting has been vandalised once before, in 1913, when painter Abram Balashov managed to cut it with a knife in three places.
