A sea and air parade took place in St. Petersburg on Sunday to celebrate Russia's Navy Day. Footage captured the Boikiy corvette, Chuvashia missile boat, Grachonok anti-sabotage ship, Aleksandrit-class minesweeper Aleksandr Obukhov as well as patrol boats participating in the event alongside Ka-29 military helicopters and other warplanes. The parade for the first time in history was attended... Еще by a unique robotic boat, which is based on the fiberglass minesweeper of the new generation ‘Alexander Obukhov’. Saint Petersburg's Blagoveschensky, Dvortsovy, Troitsky, and Liteiny bridges were lifted during the daytime as the city held a Navy Day parade. Russia marked Navy Day on July 29 with military parades all over Russia. The celebration dates back to the Soviet era, having been established in 1939. It was dissolved in 1980 but reinstated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2003.
