Russia: Sevastopol mourns AN-26 plane crash victims

Mourners gathered in central Sevastopol, Tuesday evening, to pay tribute to the Russian Ministry of Defence's plane crash victims. Mourners made paper planes and arranged them to form the word 'AN-26.' Volunteers also attached black mourning ribbons reading «Never forget» to each paper plane. One mourner, Termjan Karan, said, «We have gathered here today to pay respects to those who died in... Еще the AN-26 plane crash. We would like to offer our condolences to families and friends of the victims.» The An-26 plane crashed during landing at Latakia's Khmeimim Air Base earlier in the day. All 39 military personnel onboard the plane died in the crash. According to the Russian defence ministry, a technical malfunction may have caused the crash. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
