Russia: SCO member states carry out anti-terrorist drills in Yaroslavl region

Anti-terrorist drills held by the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) took place in Yaroslavl region, Thursday. The aim of the drills was to reduce the threat of penetration by terrorists in the territory of the SCO member states, as well as to practice suppressing terrorist acts and reducing the impact after an attack takes place. The SCO is a political, economic and security... Еще organisation made up of Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, India and Pakistan, formed in 2001. The Collective Security Treaty Organisation's (CSTO) Secretariat and the Anti-terrorist Centre of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) also took part in the exercise.
