Russia: School employee recounts student reports of axe, firebomb attack

The boys sent a message: 'Don’t come to school, there will be carnage,'» said Galina Klepikova. Media reports citing officials suggest a ninth-grader attacked a teacher and several students. He chopped off one of the victim's fingers, according to reports. Klepikova corroborated the information, saying «today [the attacker stormed] classroom number 23 and struck three kids and a teacher with an axe.” «The teacher was hit in the head. One of the students was hit in the head too. Another in the back. And the attacker cut off a girl’s finger,» she added. All have been taken to hospital. The attacker has been detained. Emergency services and security forces were seen gathered outside the school building following the attack.
