Russian ball boys were filmed training for the World Cup at the Sokolniki training centre in Moscow on Thursday. Their coach Oleg Kuzhelev explained that the boys have been asked not to show support for any team while on duty. “They were asked not to support any national team, not to talk to anybody. It is really hard for them, of course. I clearly saw it in their behaviour they wanted to go... Еще to the players, ask them for T-shirts and autographs, but it is strictly prohibited,” he said. According to the ball boys they are excited to be part of the World Cup and don’t feel any pressure. “I am really glad and happy I made it to this ball boys team,” Aleksander Popov said. His teammate Ivan Tereschenko agreed. “Without a doubt, we all are glad to be part of this, not only as spectators at the World Cup, but also as a participants.” The 2018 FIFA World Cup is scheduled to take place in Russia from June 14 to July 15, 2018. A total of 64 matches will be played in 12 venues located in 11 cities across Russia, with the final set to take place in Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.
