Russia: Roma en route to knockouts after 2:1 win over CSKA in Moscow

AS Roma celebrated a 2-1 win over CSKA Moscow in their Champions League match in Moscow on Wednesday, bringing them one step closer to a place in the knockout stages. Roma player Federico Fazio said: «Though we are not yet qualified mathematically, it was very important to win today, and we won the last couple of games, against a direct opponent for the qualification. So we are very happy of... Еще having gotten the three points, which was not easy.» CSKA player Jaka Bijol lamented the team's performance: «We knew that we wouldn't be able to come through the centre of the defence, so we tried to play through the flanks, and I think we managed to succeed in that, we created some chances but unfortunately the results didn't go our way.» Roma are now five points ahead of CSKA with two games remaining. The Giallorossi will go up against Real Madrid on November 27 and CSKA Moscow will face off with Plzen on the same day.
