Russia: Putin slams 'double standards' in fight against terrorism

Russian president Vladimir Putin said that «fighting terrorists should be done without double standards, without hidden agendas, without using radicals to someone else's political goals and only by joining efforts, only together,» speaking at the 137th Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly (IPU) in Saint Petersburg, Saturday. The Russian President slammed «efforts to interfere in the lives of... Еще sovereign countries» without «knowledge and consideration of local peculiarities» for «destabilisation into North Africa and the Middle East» regions. Putin went on to say that there are recent «attempts to limit direct contacts and discussions between parliamentarians». Russian leader called such practice «unacceptable, detrimental and simply stupid.»
