Russia: Putin outlines priorities for new gov.

Russian President Vladimir Putin outlined the priorities for the newly appointed government until 2024, at a meeting in Moscow on Saturday. Putin stressed that the new cabinet «is set to tackle not only complex but also extremely important tasks. These are the goals of a principally new level.» He went on to say that Russia's «viability» and «development pace» depend on the achievement of the... Еще set goals. The Russian leader said that the new government «is to define and approve the main directions of its activities and key projects as soon as possible, in line with the May order on the national goals and strategic tasks of the development of Russia until 2024,» setting the deadline of October 1, 2018. Putin also noted that «it is extremely important to ensure a workable coordination with regional management teams» and a «constructive cooperation with civil society groups and political parties.» He added that the government has to be «as open as possible,» which he said «is largely the government's key to success.»
