Russia: Putin congratulates Sevastopol on 'return to homeland'

Russian President Vladimir Putin made a brief appearance in Sevastopol, Wednesday, at a rally held to celebrate the anniversary of the referendum on the reunification of Crimea with Russia. Putin congratulated Sevastopol residents on the anniversary, saying that «four years ago you made a historic decision, thanks to which Sevastopol and Crimea returned to its homeland, to our Mother Russia... Еще.» He went on to say that «with your decision, you restored historical justice, which was violated during the Soviet times when Crimea and Sevastopol was illegally, even according to Soviet laws, separated from the Russian Federation, from the RSFSR. With your decision, you showed to the entire world what true democracy, not an ostensible one, means.»
