Russia: Putin and Moldovan President Dodon discuss Transnistria conflict ahead of CIS summit

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke with his Moldovan counterpart Igor Dodon about healing Russian-Moldovan relations at a meeting in Sochi, on Tuesday. Putin spoke of how «many tragic events» took place during the Transnistrian conflict, and explained how Russia greatly appreciates Moldova's efforts to «normalise the Russian-Moldovan relations.» Putin said that although such a process is far... In response, Dodon thanked Putin for «solving the problems of migrants» and added that «both inside and outside the country there were attempts to provoke confrontation between the leaderships of our countries.» The meeting was held as a part of a summit between leaders of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
