Russia: 'Practically everyone has been named an 'Enemy of the US' — Peskov on 'Kremlin List' *AUDIO*

The Press Secretary for the President of Russia Dmitri Peskov said that «practically everyone has been named an 'enemy of the US,' if you read the [Kremlin List] text, the headline of the document, this has all been done in accordance with the law on Enemies of the United States.» He made the comments during a telephone conference in Moscow, on Tuesday. «The text contains a large number of... Еще stipulations relating to the fact that it in no way implies sanctions or restrictions [on those named],» he said, adding that «the publicity of the list» nevertheless «covers anything and everything that could potentially deal a blow to the image of our businesses, entrepreneurs, politicians, members of government.» The so-called «Kremlin List» is a document published by the US containing 114 Russian politicians and 96 oligarchs with the aim of «naming and shaming» those close to Russian President Vladimir Putin. It comes after Congress passed the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act last year, which was aimed at punishing Russia for allegedly interfering in the 2016 Presidential election. Although, the Kremlin List does not impose new sanctions on those named, some of the politicians and oligarchs have already been subjected to sanctions.
